What will you do as a Technology Specialist?

As an Technology Specialist, you play a key role in Defense’s material projects. You ensure that new and existing systems are technically reliable and meet all quality standards. You support project teams with your technical expertise and contribute to research, evaluations and documentation.

Your main tasks include:

Advising project managers and project teams on system engineering and technical aspects;
Contributing to technical research, evaluations and market analysis;
Supporting the development of the Statement of Requirements (SoR) and other project documentation;
Preparing and monitoring test plans and analyzing test results;
Assessing quotations and documentation on quality, environmental and safety standards;
Contributing to configuration management and the introduction of new equipment;
Reviewing technical maintenance publications and supplier documentation.

What do you need for this role?

As an Technology Specialist, you combine strong technical expertise with attention to detail. You work independently but also collaborate in project teams, providing advice and supporting key processes.

Education & knowledge:

Mbo-4 degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive technology, system engineering or a related field;
At least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience in material or equipment projects;
Knowledge of maintenance levels and relevant European regulations and standards;
Experience with technical documentation and reading specifications;
Familiarity with Prince2 methodology;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
