Manager System Integration CAT-3 and CAT-4 at Defense

What will you do as a Manager System Integration CAT-3 or CAT-4?

As a Manager System Integrator CAT-3 or CAT-4, you are part of multidisciplinary project teams working on the integration of complex weapon systems at Defense. You ensure that all technical disciplines come together and maintain the balance between product and schedule. You oversee planning and resources, translate requirements into concrete actions and contribute to the successful deliver of Defense projects.

Your main tasks include:

  • Analyzing and defining system-technical components in project documents (PID, Statement of Requirements);
  • Assessing capacity, project planning and required resources;
  • Translating defined functionalities into a detailed program of requirements and monitoring progress during execution;
  • Identifying technical and material developments and translating these into project actions;
  • Leading technical specialists within the project when required;
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues, project managers and suppliers to make informed decisions.

In short, as a Manager System Integrator CAT-3 or CAT-4 at Defense, you are the technical expert who translates analysis into practice and helps steer projects toward success. You ensure that systems meet all requirements and can be introduced safely, reliably and on schedule.

What do you need for this role?

As a Manager System Integrator CAT-3 or CAT-4, you combine technical expertise with strong project management skills. You are a clear communicator, capable of aligning different interests and contributing independently to large-scale material projects.

Education & knowledge:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, business administration or a similar field;
  • Knowledge of (European) regulations, standards and technical specifications;
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation and specifications;
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English (German/French is a plus);
  • At least 2 years of experience in project management and (inter)national material projects;
  • Experience in drafting technical requirements programs for material acquisition.
