Asset Manager Level 3 at Defense

What will you do as a Asset Manager Level 3?

As an Asset Manager Level 3, you are the senior professional within the field. You take on coordinating and leadership role, ensuring that the entire supply chain from forecasting and inventory management to procurement and repairs runs smoothly and efficiency. You lead colleagues, monitor logistics performance and act as a strategic partner for project leaders, suppliers and management.

Your main tasks include:

  • Coordinating and managing colleagues within Asset Management;
  • Leading supply chain projects and driving optimization initiatives;
  • Developing and monitoring maintenance plans and KPIs;
  • Managing procurement and contracts for spare parts, tools and services;
  • Assessing supplier performance and identifying bottlenecks;
  • Advising on lifecycle management, obsolescence and process improvements;
  • Reporting to project leadership and operational management.

In short, as an Asset Manager Level 3, you are responsible for the entire logistics chain. You ensure that people, resources and processes align seamlessly so that Defense always has access to operational equipment.

What do you need for this role?

As an Asset Manager Level 3, you combine in-depth knowledge with strong leadership skills. You manage not only data and processes but also people and results.

Education & knowledge:

  • A bachelors or masters degree in logistics, business administration or engineering;
  • Additional training in inventory management, supply chain and logistics management;
  • Knowledge of contract management, lifecycle costing and performance-based logistics;
  • Strong command of English, including technical terminology;
  • Experience in coordinating and leading logistics teams;
  • Extensive experience in material logistics and supply chain management.
