Asset Manager Level 1 at Defense

What will you do as a Asset Manager Level 1?

As an Asset Manager Level 1, you ensure that Defense equipment remains operational at all times. You make sure the right parts and spare components are available on time and that all logistics processes run smoothly. You role is essential in the chain. Without your work aircraft, vehicles and systems would literally come to a halt.

Your main tasks include:

Analyzing logistics data and creating forecasts;
Managing items and inventories in SAP;
Monitoring orders, lead times and repairs;
Improving stock availability and delivery reliability;
Identifying bottlenecks and proposing improvements;
Preparing and presenting reports for colleagues and management.

In short, as an Asset Manager Level 1, you are the logistics hub ensuring everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. You keep inventories organized, guarantee the availability of parts and directly contribute to the operational readiness of the armed forces.

What do you need for this role?

As an Asset Manager Level 1, you combine analytical skills with a hands-on mindset. You enjoy structure, are confident working with data and can translate insights into practical, high-impact solutions.

Education & knowledge:

A completed mbo-4 education (with hbo-level working and thinking skills), preferably in logistics or engineering;
Basis knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes;
Experience or training in item management, spare parts management or logistics systems (such as SAP);
Good command of English, including technical terminology.
